Uninstalling Ie9 In Vista

Uninstalling Ie9 In Vista

Unable to play anything in Sky. Go, which uses Silverlight. Yesterday I found I was unable to play anything in Sky. Go, which uses Silverlight. I uninstalled the program and reinstalled it - I did this with several versions but couldn't get it to work in either IE9 or Chrome. There were various suggestions on the Sky Go forum and I tried them all without success - the various things I tried are listed here : -http: //helpforum. Using- Sky- Go/Sky- Go- Fix- C- 1.

With Vista 64-bit operating system INCREDIBLY the 64-bit version of Internet Explorer does not work correctly. FIX: Go to Microsoft website, download the latest. In particular it seems to fix the problem that after a successful installation the IE launch "blinks away" without an error message.

Each time a particular user goes to open internet explorer. The person gets an error box of RunDLL There was problem starting C:\Windows\system32\inetcpl.cpl The.

Someone suggested it. I had recently installed some fonts, so I deleted the one which did start with &.

I've tried a couple of other sites where the program is used without success, so it must be a Silverlight problem, so I uninstalled it yet again (not without difficulty), using Revo. Uninstaller to make sure all the leftovers were removed,  went to.

It seems to have installed, ie. I am not being asked to install it and can go in and look at various settings, but as with Sky there is just a white blank instead of the button to play. I tried Eurosport at a friend's suggestion and there it was just black. I figure there's something seriously wrong if a download from the Windows site won't play the videos on the page! My laptop is running Windows 7, with the latest batch of updates installed, and Internet Explorer 9 3. I downloaded the 6.

IE9 but it made no difference. I also tried Google Chrome with. Silverlight 5. 0. Vista laptop and which was recomended on the Sky forum.

I'm hoping someone out there can come up with a solution to my problem. A few weeks ago it was certainly working perfectly and I've not changed anything apart from performing regular updates and installing and then uninstalling a spyware program and a couple of font managers.

I was a programmer for 2. I remember punch cards and coding sheets) and later IT co- ordinator at a school where I volunteered, so I know what to do and what not to do on a pc, but this really has me puzzled and annoyed.

Thanks in anticipation. Original Title: Unable to play anything using Silverlight.
